Hi, I'm Chris I. and I'm 23 Years old.
I started boardgaming about 17 Years ago. With the usual Games "Monopoly" and "Risk". These were quiet the only Games i knew and ever played, except of "Chess and Backgammon" Then in the age of 16 I went to a boarding school. My Mom ditched my Games, the only ones i owned "Monopoly" and "Risk"
After I came back and retired to my parents house I asked my Mom: "Where is the Risk Game ?"..........
This made me angry, cause a couple of friends wanted to play it. So I searched on Ebay for a cheap "Risk" and "Monopoly". I got my "Risk" and then I found a Package of 2 games "Monopoly" and "EL Grande" - I thought: "El Grande, what's that ?????"
After receiving it I played Monopoly and recognized, that it is absolutely luck dependent. So my Sister and I tried "El Grande". A lot of cubes a lot of rules and really complicated. After 2 hours we began to play and then thought: "Could it be, that El Grande is better than Monopoly ? - it is !"
This made me search for other good Games and better sources to inform myself about Boardgames, than the local store employee.
Then I found: BoardGameGeek !!!
