I've enjoyed playing games since I was very young, but my gaming renaissance started with Settlers of Catan for Christmas 2000. I enjoyed it so much that I spent four hours going to my FLGS just to pick up a copy of Cities and Knights, and have been gaming ever since.
I organized my own game group in the Twin Cities from 2006 to 2014, and it continues to go on strong in my absence, despite the fact that I have since moved to Los Angeles. I continue to game here in my new home, and you may see me at some of the local events.
Longer multiplayer games such as A Game of Thrones and Advanced Civilization are my favorites. I particularly like games with lots of negotiation. And maps. I Like Maps. I'll play lighter, shorter affairs, but my favorites run long. I also have a serious love for American football simulation games, and I have played and own just about all of the common ones. I've collated all of the American Football games in a massive geeklist
I comment and rate every game I play, and have been logging my plays consistently since 2006, with comments on each play for as long as BGG has allowed it in their system. I've amassed quite a thorough history as a result. If you want to find out more about what kinds of games I like, you can browse my comments and find more information than you ever wanted to know. I tailor my ratings to a curve, as it feels a bit more genuine that way.
I, like many gamers, am a web developer. My focus in school was in AI and game-playing algorithms, and I enjoy reading about research in this area.
I like to trade and use the GeekMarket. I pride myself on good communication, thorough descriptions, and fast shipping. Check out my other games for trade, as there are often games I have marked as sweeteners that I will throw in for free or almost free. I keep my want list and trade list up to date, but I'll always consider alternate offers. Try me.
Yes, that is actually me in my avatar. No, I don't usually wear that hat.
