I used to play a lot of card games in college: Pinochle, Eucher, Hearts, Spades, Canasta, etc. With 6-handed Eucher and Mafia being the favorite. I also enjoyed board games, but my experience is woefully lacking since my friends and family don't really play many of them, beyond the mainstream titles we grew up with.
During summer of 2007 I got tired of videogames and MMO in general, and BBG has filled that void nicely. I hope to be playing board games for a long time to come!
Hot 10 will track games that I really want to try. It will be updated with new titles whenever any of them gets played.
I attend the GCOM Damascus gaming group weekly and also am an active participant with the Arlington Board Gamers down at Ballston, VA (which Kevin/kvn299 and Michelle/caesarmom are part of as well). If you are ever in the area, please stop by!
Trying very hard to keep my collection under 50. I no longer buy games just because I like or think I will like them. Especially since my family are non-gamers, therefore, I have begun getting rid of some of the more meatier titles in exchange for medium-light ones that will have a better chance of hitting the table. Even so, I still find myself unable to resist the urge to collect some of the more rare and hard to find (i.e. OOP) games just to own them.
