For those who might wonder: The data in the collection-section on my profile is outdated. Same for "logged plays". I stopped using boardgamegeek as a way to keep track of this stuff in mid 2014, mostly because I was tired of the inconvenient way to add this data and work with it.
My name is Martin, I am 28 years old and I live in the German town Siegburg and work in the former German capitol Bonn as a government official. I'm hosting a German weblog where I mostly publish video-reviews about Boardgames.
In August 2014, I became a member of the Spiel des Jahres-Jury.

I was introduced to "modern" Boardgames in 2006 by some friends who showed me Settlers of Catan. I was immediately hooked, but it still took a while until I became a real boardgamegeek. In the end, it was Dominion that led me to this awesome community in mid 2009, and from then on, I never looked back. In the last years, I became a proud boardgamegeek with heart and soul and live it out in several ways. For example, my formerly boring coffeetable now looks like this:
Besides actually playing boardgames, I spend a lot of time lurking on BGG and, as mentioned above, I'm also doing German video Reviews and have a German blog about boardgaming.
So I'm basically trying to spread the word about this wonderful world of boardgames. I'm always happy to meet new people to play some boardgames, so if you're in my area and are interested, feel free to contact me and we will figure something out!
