Hola! Originally, I am from Upstate New York; I now live in Northern Virgina and work as a Kindergarten/fourth grade/third grade teacher and have rediscovered board games recently(beginning of 2011). The first game I bought was Avalon Hill's War at Sea and numerous other AH games followed, including ASL. My friends and I also played a lot of AD&D. I spent what little free time I had in the Army playing board and role playing games. Later in college I started to play computer games on my trusty Amiga 500. After graduation, I didn't play many games, dabbled in CCGs for a bit. I had thought that computer games had crushed the board game industry, until I stumbled across some reviews on You Tube/i-Tunes about 2 years ago or so ago(The Gaming Gang and Marco Arnaudo); which set off a spending spree since
I am amazed at the variety and quality of games that are available now. My collection grew from a handful of old AH games to around a hundred now, everything from Ticket to Ride to Fighting Formations plus combing Ebay to find some old favorites from back in the day.
