Hi, welcome to my page.
Boardgames in my life? As a kid I have ate my share of mass market games on polish shallow market i.e. Eurobusiness
, Robin Hood
wargames (shout out to Ardeny 1944
!). Even today, after so many years and as a childhood memory, it does surprise me why I've played those games so many times. Not-balanced is what comes first to my mind when I think of those games.
I've started playing modern board games around 2003-2004. Today I find it difficult to say precisely what year it was. But I can say that it all started with games like Ticket to Ride
, Runebound (First Edition)
, Shadows over Camelot
, Mare Nostrum
, Drakon (first edition)
, Memoir '44
. It was an evolution from RPG/LARP. Never fully immersed in RPG scene, I have found board games what I was looking for. You can say it was good mix between RPG and PC games. Which is still true, after so many years.
Over a year break, after graduation, I have finally came back! And big time! It was 2007. With my first A Game of Thrones (first edition)
play. It re-introduce me again to the industry and started my gaming group (at least its core members). During that time I have played also Race for the Galaxy
, Le Havre
, Twilight Imperium (Third Edition)
. We have been playing 2-3 times a month ever since.
And for last few years, I have been play decent amount of kids games/games with my kids: SchuhBidu
, Terror in Meeple City
, Forbidden Island
Today I play all types of games: euro, ameritrash, wargames, hybrids...
