Greetings Fellow Gamers!
I began playing boardgames in the early 80’s. It began with Avalon Hill games and AD&D. I was looking for some new games to play when I came across this hobby shop in Norwalk on Westport Ave. I believe it was called Family Hobbies. There was a sign in the store for the next meeting of the Connecticut Game Club (CGC) at a church in Southport. I have been attending CGC meetings ever since. http://ctgameclub.org/
When Avalon Hill folded I thought there wouldn’t be any games worth playing. But then some Eurogames started popping up. Such as Alan Moon games and others.
Currently my favorite games are:
Trajan, Village, World Without End, The Settlers of Catan, Kingsburg: To Forge A Realm, Small World, Stone Age, Pirates Cove, Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition), Memoir 44.
I enjoy any game that has worker placement and resources.
My flagship store for games is Battlegrounds Gaming in Norwalk, CT.http://www.battlegroundsgaming.net/
They have open gaming every Wednesday from 5PM to 11PM.
Perhaps I'll see you there or at a CGC meeting!
