I was born back in 1973 and live with my wife and two daughters in Switzerland working as a computer programmer.
Most of the time I play games with my wife. We especially like to play two player card games like Lost Cities
or Race for the Galaxy
, but also enjoy playing bigger board games like Railways of the World
with our friends.
Sadly I've never played boardgames when I was a teenager, because me and my friends were too occupied playing games on our computers.
In the mid nineties my girlfriend and I "accidently" visited our local gamestore (probably looking for Lego) when she was attracted by a game "looking kind of like connect 4" and we left the store with a copy of Quarto!
. This was the first step.
Today we are married, still playing Quarto and still buying games at the same store which I was not able to leave empty handed once in the last 13 years!
Find here a more or less complete list of our games. Just missing some card games or my favorite Puzzle Games like "River Crossing" or "Rush Hour".
I still do play computer games quite often (Civ, RT, NWN, FS etc.), and sometimes you might cross my way in virtual worlds like Guild Wars 2 or Diablo 3.
