I've been gaming in one form or another my whole life. Growing up I played some standards like Clue
. In high school, I got into some more serious affairs such as Axis & Allies
. In college, traditional gaming to a backseat to cultivating a social life, but I still played console and PC games. Once I got a job, I was trying to find a hobby to spend my new found income on. I found several, such as Lego and CCGs.
While reading my favorite video gaming site, I came across an article on a Lord of the Rings board game by renowned designer Reiner Knizia. I never knew game designers could be renowned. So I sought it out. Since I was buying it on the web, shipping was one of the biggest costs, so I figured I'd throw some other games in there. After a bit of research, I settled on Lost Cities and Settlers. The rest is history.
I am now your classic Euro-gamer. My tastes virutally mirror the tastes of the community at large. I will try just about anything (if it's not too long) and like to read rules for fun. I think I've found a hobby for life.
