Hi everyone! I have been board gaming for a couple years now and have been working diligently to get my significant other involved. The first game we purchased for our collection was Agricola, logically (?) followed by Last Night On Earth. That pretty much sums up our gaming tastes. She says potato and I say zombie.
We have two amazing daughters in our household; one 11 yr old "tween" and an 18 month old wee one. We take gaming in our household very seriously, or as serious as one can make it! On Oct. 23rd, 2013, there is a small game lair of a stand along cabinet. However, on 10/25/2013 we are signing on a home purchase and I will have the perverbial "man-cave". It is then that all my dreams will come true... even the possibility of an ultra gaming table. (Geek Chic, are you reading this?)
Board gaming has been such a life changing aspect of my life that I can't say it's a hobby, but rather a lifestyle. It brought me closer to loved ones and we have regular game nights that I adore. It also gives me time to spend with good friends I have been fortunate enough to make through the [geekurl=http://www.bookeryfantasy.com/]Bookery Fantasy[/geekurl] board game club. You guys rock!
Last thing to read here: I am a HUGE fan of cheeseball "B" horror films. I can't get enough of 'em. You know the guy in your neighborhood that is always decorating for halloween and gets really, really elaborate? That's me.
Thanks for reading and happy gaming!
Well, another year brings us full circle. THis year is little different because we are moving into a new home! This should prove to be an exciting endeavor as our humble beginnings are in a small abode. Our new home is over twice the size and sits on 5 acres! Rural bliss, I tell ya.But I digress.
As you can tell (hopefully) by my wishlist and game list, I am an ameritrash type of fella. I have a few euros and even started my collection with a great one; Agricola
. However, I have the hardest time getting my friends to sit and enjoy these. I can ALWAYS get them over for other, more theme oriented games though. Of course, your infinite wisdom will prevail (As always) in anything you feel worthy of sending our way.
It's fantastic to be able to write another letter to you, oh dearest santa, as this is my 3rd year embarking on this adventure; but you already know that. My family has really enjoyed being a part of this as well and look forward to any harassing given (or received) during this holiday season.
