I am a game director working for Ubisoft in Annecy. My American family and I moved to France almost two years ago, and we are loving the adventure so far. My game-playing time has significantly decreased as my work and travel commitments have increased. I'm grateful to old friends who will still play on Vassal with me weekly. I have enough GG saved to buy the 'I speak French' microbadge, but I haven't purchased it yet--I have to really earn it!2014
A little about myself: I am a video game designer, working for the Walt Disney Company. I love my job, and I love that we play games at work every day. I grew up with the standard party games, and loved playing the Games Workshop big box games. Unfortunately, I only kept my copy of Space Hulk, so I foresee spending a lot of money to reclaim games that I only want for nostalgic reasons. Oh well...it's only money...and shelf space...and my wife's wrath...2012
Okay, so I was able to get a lot of my collection played, after a frantic end-of-the-year push. My game groups got tired of my 'Quantity over Quality' mantra, so I've decided to slow the pace of new games now. I think 2012 will be 'The Year of the Trade' as I try to whittle my collection down to something more manageable. Feel free to offer a trade for any of my games--who knows? I might get sick of Indonesia (but I probably won't).2011
First of all--thanks again to a great Secret Santa 2010! I am really loving Labyrinth so far, and look forward to another play soon.
2010 (and 2009, and 2008) was the year of buying games. I declare that this year will be the year of playing games! (And also buying games!) Right now I have only played about 55% of my collection. I hope to have that somewhere near 80% by the end of the year. Good luck to me!
