I'm not the stereotypic gamer. I once lived in Germany, and socialize with German friends in an attempt to retain the language. Through these social gatherings, I was exposed to each year's Spiel des Jahres. Then I discovered that there is a subculture of Americans who play these games as well - and in English! Who knew?
I like light to medium weight eurogames, especially ones that are interactive and light-hearted. If you smashed a robot or found yourself talking like a pirate, that's a game I'd probably enjoy.
