Avid wargamer and house rules tinkerer since 1974 starting with SPI's War in the East (1st Edition). Three other gamers (two that I am still friends with) and I played it twice after switching sides was my intro to the hobby. And, ever since that weekend I was hooked. Also, soon after we had a great place to play in Renton, WA from 1974-1982 called the Heritage Bookshop. Where numerous gamers regularly met where we also could leave games (especially monsters) setup. We played everything from Diplomacy, Blue and Gray Quads, After The Holocaust, Atlantic Wall, Wacht Am Rhine, Wellington's Victory, Korsun Pocket, DNO!/Unentschieden and other Europa titles to War Between The States, War in Europe, War in the Pacific and even Campaign to North Africa...only once with the ...ugh rules. And, two more times with our house rules. Just to name a few.
So, I have played a lot of wargames over the years. And, still prefer playing monsters and large campaign games. Additionally, I am now trying my hand in designing and developing games under Heritage Game Studios. Since, Ralph Loewen and I were always tinkering with house rules with almost all our games. Hopefully, at least a few of you will like the games we intend on making. Or, at least I will get several games made that I can spend my later years playing and enjoying.
If you are ever in Tempe, AZ and want to playtest or play a big game check my meetups page below for our meeting times.
