I would have to say that my love of games truly started when I was a teenager playing AD&D 2nd edition and Magic the Gathering. I loved Magic so much that I started looking into other games that were designed by Richard Garfield. That's when I found Roborally. I also read an article about his influences that included Cosmic Encounter and Wiz-War. I bought a copy of Wiz-War from Chessex. I played it and loved it! I didn't pick up a copy of Cosmic Encounter till many years later (FFG reprint). This was the last game I bought for many years to come. In 2008 I discovered Board Game Geek and then started my addiction to board games. I don't remember exactly how I came upon BGG. I was probably browsing the net for something completely unrelated then happened upon it. Now years later here I am loving every minute of this hobby (addiction). Most of my favorite games definitely fall into the "Ameritrash" category. I do play "Euros" every once in a while and I will play any game at least once. I love dice, dice, and more dice! Did I mention I love dice? I also love miniatures and lots of theme. Even if a games not perfect I can still enjoy it if it has a good theme. It also helps that I have an active imagination I guess
In summary ... GO PLAY A GAME!
