I discovered board games in 2005 and it has been a passion ever since. My first buy was Carcassonne and i found the game so different from the ones i had played in my childhood that i immediately wanted to try more and more, so my collection started to grow =)
I play games every week, at least at Wednesdays with the Lisbon gamers group and some other nights at houses of friends or at home with my brother. I also go to some national encounters in other cities of Portugal, and in 2008 i had the pleasure to go to Essen Spiel fair for 3 days, which was an amazing experience.
I consider myself an Eurogamer but i also like some games considered Ameritrash (i like Last Night On Earth, A Touch of Evil and Betrayal at House on the Hill, but i don't like Doom, Descent and others as such).
My favourite designer is Martin Wallace, i like his gameplay style and themes, and the games have also somekind of "charisma". Most of favourite games are from him, like Brass and Age of Steam.
I have done a Portuguese map for Ticket to Ride, which is available on the web for others to download and play, and i have received very positive feedback from it. You can check it out here:
