I'm a completionist but I almost semi rational about it, no point paying "Way too much" to complete a set of games when that money could be used for more interesting games.
I enjoy a wide range of games, with Chicago Express
being very enjoyable as a pure money game with nice elements of competition and co-operation, and Battlestar Galactica
as a game that integrates the theme with a really challenging game. BSG's hidden traitor element adds to the fun and I'm lucky to be in a gaming group that gets right into it. Somehow I end up being the cylon more often than random chance would suggest but I'm all good with that. I insist on not touching the loyalty deck in F2F games
I enjoy BGG PBFs and am incredibly grateful to
for adding automation to Runebound (Second Edition)
for creating Cymod.net which allows a lot of automation for BGG games (currently in Beta mood, base game only).
Also big thanks to all those who worked on the BSG PBFs that paved the way for cymod
My girlfriend is extremely good at Galaxy Trucker
and Factory Fun
whereas I'm extremely not good. I'm all "that's a pretty tile, it might be handy" and she's all "Right tile, here, right tile, here".
