Last year for me of USA Conventions
Loved playing board games and cards as a kid. Discovered Euro Games in 2007 when I had an opportunity to live and work in USA (San Francisco).
Looked up board games on Meetup.com thinking I would find Cluedo (Clue) or similar and found Settlers of Catan. The rest is history. There were many groups to join in the Silicon Valley area. Attended KublaCon and PacifiCon.
Spent 3 great years in USA and before returning to Australia. I did a 2 month road trip around USA (2009). I plotted all the Frank Lloyd Wright houses that were open for tours on a map and drew a line. Once I knew the route, I looked up board game groups in the towns I was going through and contacted them to see if I could turn up. As you all know, gamers are very welcoming. It was a great way to see the USA and meet the locals.
On that road trip I attended EuroQuest in Maryland, and BGGCon in Texas.
I love attending conventions. 2011-2014 I made regular trips to USA to attend cons, such as, World Board Game Championships (I mainly hung out in open gaming), EuroQuest & BGGCon. I was lucky enough to attend Essen Spiel in 2011.
In 2012, completed 2 trips to USA. August -the double act of WBC, followed by GenCon ending with Pacificon. Then November for EuroQuest then Texas Dallas Gamers Marathon ending with BGG.Con Whew
In Australia, I attend BorderCon, CanCon, Concentric, ConVic and play regularly at many Melbourne Meetup Groups
I love my life :-) and all the people I have met playing board games.

(must update my website, too busy playing games)
Started recording plays in early 2013 'cos everyone else was and wanted to see what it was all about. My aim is to have Agricola always at the top of the list. I only record face-to-face games.
My Top 10 is my Top 10. Just outside top ten are Hansa Teutonica east map, Russian Railroads, Terra Mystica, Machi Koro Harbour expansion
I have another collection of games that are for hire and I use at a Kids Games Club, family games nights and other events. http://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/familykit?own=1&sub...
