What I like and What I don't

my gaming son
Hi. I'm Mark Cookman and I am a geek. I work as a computer teacher/technician in a facility for adults with developmental disabilities. My mother and father (may God give rest to both of their souls) taught me Checkers, Chess, Backgammon, Cribbage, Poker, Yatzee, Life, Monopoly, Risk, Mill Bournes and others I have forgotten. The first game I ever bought for myself was AH's Squad Leader, which I devoured. I grew up in the hills along the Ohio river, there were very few real towns and no cities. I had to order it from AH and I couldn't wait for it to come. Only the games have changed, for the most part I am still that little boy waiting impatiently by the mailbox.
I joined BGG in 2009 and right after I did I found out about Print and Play games. I downloaded Zombie in my Pocket
and made it and played it. Wow! How Cool! I thought that this website was the best place ever and that Print and Play games were pretty cool and that I would enjoy this new found hobby. I was playing my 4th game of ZiMP when I got the call from that hospital that my wife's lung had collapsed and that she was in critical condition and I should come. After I arrived, we received the bombshell that Sheril's lung had collapsed because of a tumor lodged and growing between the back of her stomach and her spine. She has cancer. When a loved one has cancer, there are hours of chemotherapy and radiation treatments that you cannot be with them for and hours more that they sleep, recovering from them. During this time I played Zombie in my Pocket with Johnathan our (then 7 year old) son over and over again. I think it kept us sane. For whatever reason, I didn't get back on BGG much during that time. I just didn't do a lot of web browsing then, I guess.
Anyway, I am now back on. Sheril's cancer is either in remission or eliminated (the verdict is still out, but signs look good for eliminated). I hope that we can contribute to all of the good stuff here on BGG!
Here are some of my games that I have played recently:
