* Maximize space
* Inventory and organize
* Translate where applicable for Lee
Accumulating for retirement (expecting around 2017-2022 range).
Acquired an imaging barcode scanner and using Microsoft Excel to help translate game components (all cards right now) for Lee. LCG/CCG-like games or games with lots of different cards will be translated, but deck builders like Dominion will just continue to be stickied, since only a few of each type are used per game.
April 2013: My new current obsession is minimizing the space consumed by games in our studio apartment. The current focus is to put all miniatures games into storage cases. As an example, I've compressed 3 of the Dungeon & Dragons cooperative adventure game boxes into 1 box to hold the maps/cards/large minis and a single case to hold all of the minis.
May 2013: Saving a ton of space now with cases and bins. Now I need to create an inventory system so that I can quickly find the game I want. Likely I will follow suit with other BGGers and will use my BGG game database to record location. Currently considering a shelf-row-bin numbering system.
Some games don't make sense to condense, already having a good efficient storage box (e.g. Triassic Terror) or are extremely rare, so I won't condense those. Wargames with chits seem to be the only game type in which punching and sorting actually takes up more space.
