Loved to play board games as a kid. Had some great classics (Fireball Island, Dark Tower, Axis & Allies, Sinking of the Titanic, Stop Thief) and also got into D&D rpgs in the early 80's (Castle Amber is my favorite module).
Fell out of board games until the release of Heroclix (I am also a huge comic book collector). Got into that with some friends, and we had a great time with it. One day while picking up y weekly coics I decided to pick up a copy of GTM and seen an ad for Descent 1E (which looked REALLY cool and reminded me of my old D&D days). I couldn't wait to show my gaming group, and they all agreed that it looked like it would be cool to play.
That started me back into the hobby of board gaming, and I have been all-in ever since.
I can usually coax my kids into playing certain gaes (TTR, Zooloretto, Survive, Order Up) and their friends LOVE to come over and pick a game out of dads' "crazy board game collection" to play.
I don't get as much time to play as I would like, as I coach my daughters 14U fastpitch travel softball team (for the last 5 years). That has taken my daughter & I on a journey we have shared all over the Midwestern part of the country. My girls have finished in the Top 10 the last 3 seasons at the World Series, placing 2nd at the 11U World Series.

I also have a son I am equally as proud of, he shares my love for video games and runs cross country and plays basketball.
Will Santa put me on the naughty or nice list? That remains to be seen. Regardless, I will have fun playing Santa to a fellow BBG'er and hope all have a Happy & Healthy Holiday Season!!!
