I played my 1st game of Settlers in 2003, and from there, it was but a short step to BGG and an
relatively small collection with initial "Cult of the New" characteristics. My focus is now is more on obscure/rare/hidden gems. Gaming
I try to get in some gaming every weekend. Apart from my regular gaming group, I also try to attend the local boardgame meetups (http://boardgames.meetup.com/21
) whenever I can. Games I like
Heavier Euros, with an emphasis on player interaction. Currently working on injecting selected variety to my collection, any suggestions appreciated. Top 10 - My favourite gamesHot 10 - Recent games playedEssen
I attended Essen in 2008 - such a wonderful experience, my favourite being the opportunity to meet many small, independent publishers with hidden gems. By all means, try the new big name releases and buy those that may some time to reach local shores, but save space and money for the clearances / sales - typically one can get 2 to 3 past favourites for the price of 1 new Essen release!
