I have been gaming for many years, starting out like most with games like Monopoly, working my way up to Risk. I then had a period of AD&D and wargaming in my high school days.
I "saw the light" of eurogames when I was skiing about 10 years ago, and saw a group of dutch skiers having an "apres-ski" game session. They had a stack of games next to their table which intrigued me. I asked to play, and got introduced to Acquire, but what caught my eye was a game called "settlers of catan". I didn't get to play it that time, but soon got the game and the rest is history.
Nowadays I play mainly eurogames, but with the right group I still enjoy a good wargame (or a dungeon crawl)...
Personally, I am a 40 year old father of two boys and a girl. I have worked in the high tech industry for a long time (gotta pay for all those games!). I also have an MA in Conflict Studies and Diplomacy. Surely there must be something all those wargames are useful for!
My logged games are accurate since probably 2009. I didn't really log much before then and thus many dozens of games of Settlers of Catan, Risk, D&D and others are missing. Most Recently Played Games
