Euro snob. Collector. Hoarder. Wood component lover.
My board game journey started around June 2012 with such fare as Munchkin, Zombie Dice and the like. I picked up Carcassonne early July 2012 and it opened my eyes to a much larger world of gaming. Since, I have discovered a love of Euro style games both light and fairly heavy (though I tend to favor medium weight titles).
Some of my favorite designers include Stefan Feld, Rüdiger Dorn, Donald X. Vaccarino, Leo Colovini, Wolfgang Kramer/Michael Kiesling (both together and separate) and the good Doctor Renier Knizia.
My preferred companies include Rio Grande Games, Queen Games, Alea/Ravensburger and Hans im Gluck (and now by default, Z-Man Games).
Always on the lookout for games I've missed over the years, as opposed to looking at what's coming out next week or Kickstarter games. There are so many fantastic games that get overlooked due to just the sheer volume of titles released each month. It's my mission to wade through that to find games that interest me and I'd want to put on my table.
Favorite games I own by year, (but not that I played them in that particular year, it was just when it was released) since I started:
2013- Russian Railroads
2014- Five Tribes
