My trade and want lists are very incomplete, send me a Geekmail if you have an interest in something.
A brief board gaming history..I grew up with the standard Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley fare, with varying favorites as whims dictated, such as Clue, Big Deal
, Stratego, Chess and Mad Magazine Card Game
, of which I started a craze in my elementary school. Family gatherings always included a game or two of Hand and Foot
, a tradition that continues today.
A friend started me on D & D for a time, and as I started college this gave way to Magic: The Gathering, just as the Unlimited edition was coming out. Burned many fine hours on that one, also got to play some epics like Civilization, Talisman and Dungeon.
For a time I was more heavily into video games (that's a separate story there..) but now as a husband and father of two daughters, most of my gaming is for the family. Thanks to BGG, I have found so many good games for our daughters, with Loopin Louie, Mancala and Qwirkle saving us from Candyland. Family gatherings result in party games like Wits and Wagers and Hit or Miss. Gatherings with friends over Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride. Really I am happy just playing games, having fun and socializing in a unique way. Its nice to win sometimes too!
