Built in 1955 (low mileage) but still hanging on to my hair and teeth. Can't remember where I left my memory. Married since 1977 and have 2 grown up sons.
Born in Hayes near Heathrow, but moved to Weymouth when I was about 10. Now live about 8 miles North of Stoke-on-Trent.
Enjoyed Risk as a kid then got more interested in football etc. Found gaming again about 1979 in a brief daliance with ancient miniatures, and then D&D (which was a revelation).
Boardgaming raised it's head again in the early eighties predominantly with 3 games.... Talisman, Advanced Civlisation and Dreadnought (SPI).
Then got hooked on computers starting with Sinclairs ZX81, Spectum, Vic 20, Commodore 64, Atari ST et al. Hugely enjoyed programming in Basic, and culminated in writing a Dreadnought emulator (wish I still had it)
Now I enjoy strategy computer games and boardgames in equal measure. Wargames are my first love, but RPG is a close second.
These days I mostly play boardgames solo, though occasionly make it to Shire Games Thursday games nights in Hanley. Nick and Sue Fisk are smashing people if you get the chance to go.
The Vassal gaming system has been a real boon, and I play a lot of Paths of Glory, Memoir '44 and Through the Ages by pbem.
I find BGG a tremendous resource when deciding which games to acquire, mostly by trade these days. I highly recommend the Math trades which are announced on BGG.
I listen to a lot of gaming podasts, my favourites being The dice tower, The Spiel, Into the gamescape, Boardgames with Scott and Point2Point.
NEW NOTE: As from September 2009 I am including game plays of heavier games on vassal, simply because that is my primary way of playing them (pbem), they will be logged for the day they BEGIN. Brief vassal games (like memoir '44) still won't be logged.
