Originally, I am from the US (Tennessee), but moved to Europe in 1998 with my Dutch husband, dog and cat. I've been here ever since and I'm still very happily married. Luckily, I have been able to build a whole new life for myself here and have continued discovering new games to try.
My Fur babies:
Games, games, games! Board games have been a part of my family experience since I was a child and it has only blossomed with my husband. Many, many nights and weekends were spent playing games with my family and friends and now with my Hubby.
Over the years, my game tastes have expanded to include the Euro games like Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, and Puerto Rico. Also, I've grown to love Cooperative games such as Pandemic, Arkham horror, and Lord of the Rings. We play games just about every week and some weeks it is almost daily.
We're a bit of homebodies and really enjoy our time at home. I play a great deal of games just with my husband. Also, we love to have friends over for Game nights. Cooking is another one of my passions. So it's a good food, good company, and good games for everyone. For us, it's way more fun than going out!
Amazingly, I do manage to squeeze in other interests besides board games! I've always been interested in other cultures and love meeting new people. Also, I have a passion for food and have become quite the foodie over the years! So much so, that I was a pastry chef in a former career. I later went back to school to become a Veterinarian since I've always loved animals.
Another big hobby is Graphic Adventure games http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventure_game
such as Myst, Syberia, and the old Lucas Arts games. My collection of adventure games is massively bigger than my board game collection. It is all my husband's fault as he got me hooked on them!
Another facet of myself is that I like creative things. When I was younger, I learned how to refinish/re-upholster furniture. Now, I like all sorts of creative, crafty things.
About me, well I am myself all the time. So, I don't waste time playing games with people. What you see is what you are going to get. If you want to know something, ask me. There are couple of pics in my gallery if you are curious.
