Thank you very much for taking the time to run Secret Santa 2015 for me!
I like medium strategy games that don't require massive amounts of table space and ridiculous amounts of time and I do not like fiddly games that require constant recalculations! For example, I haven't played Agricola in really long because it takes up a huge amount of table space and the restocking every round is very annoying! Another example of fiddliness would be in Blood Bowl, you have to constantly calculate whether you are winning every match-up, especially in a game with more players!
Some of my recent dislikes in games like Spyrium and Five Tribes where the actions are too indirect and there are too many possibilites to compute. I prefer more direct games where action A will result in action B, instead of action A leads to action C which may result in action B or action D depending on what else happens. I hope you can understand what I mean!
For my game group, we usually play strategy games between 4-6 players, and if there are more than 5 or 6 players (up to 9 or 10 even), we will switch to hidden traitor games!
So some examples of our favourite strategy games would be: Puerto Rico, Alchemists, Roll for the Galaxy, Terra Mystica, Trains. So games on my wishlist which meet this category are: Imperial Settlers, Kemet, Keyflower, Legendary Encounters, Kemet, Tzolkin, Viticulture.
Some examples of the games we play when the big group is present: Codenames, One Night Ultimate Werewolf/Daybreak, Resistance/Avalon, Homeland. Games on my wishlist are: Battlestar Galactica!!!, Mafia de Cuba, Spyfall, Mysterium, One Night Ultimate Vampire!!!
Once again, thank you very much for your time and Happy Holidays!!!
PS: Regarding store buying information, Amazon.com has free shipping to Singapore over $125. Perhaps if you're thinking of going that route and getting a couple games from there, let me know and we can work something out. Perhaps I'll pay the difference or I could add on a couple gifts for myself to make up the $125 with you.
