I have been in the game industry full time since 1995. I worked for Wizards of the Coast for 2 years, and I worked for Microsoft for 10 years where, among other things, I brought card and board games such as The Settlers of Catan on MSN Games or UNO on Xbox Live Arcade to the online games community. In November of 2007, I left Microsoft to found my own game studio, Hourglass Games, to focus on console and handheld game development.
I've also run my own roleplaying game companies over the years, including Rubicon Games (where I was VP of Products), Lamplighter Design Studio (a short-lived affair), and Gaslight Press. I haven't been doing much on the RPG side of the game industry over the last 7 years, as I've been swamped in the video game business.
As of June 2009, I am 35 and live in Seattle, Washington, USA with my three cats, my good friend and co-parenting partner Jenny, and our two daughters, Abby (age 9) and Emmy (age 4). I usually play board games a few hours each week.
