I've been gaming 'properly' for about five years now so am progressing into more complex games. 99% of my plays are 2P with my husband so I don't buy games that are for a minimum of 3, though a few times a year we have a weekend with gamer friends where we up our count of 3P and 4P plays. While I like heavier games these days, my attention span and other commitments mean we tend to stick to things that play in around an hour for 2P. I'll make exceptions for sheer awesomeness (looking at you Eclipse).
We play a lot of euros as you'll see from my collection and play count. We started out with the usual euro gateway games (not all of my plays are recorded for these as I didn't log for the first year or so). RftG was one of our first more serious games and is still a favourite.
Despite being a euro fan, I like games with an interesting theme that comes through strongly. Euros where the theme doesn't feel pasted on to me include Stone Age, RftG (despite being a re-theme!), Power Grid, Dungeon Lords/Petz etc. Also despite being a euro fan, we love games with player interaction and in particular player screwage! Amyitis is a favourite in this regard.
When not gaming you'll find me cycling, climbing mountains, shooting archery or reading. All of these, and gaming, are accompanied by copious amounts of tea drinking.
