Kia Ora, G'day, I'm Clare
I still have fond memories of playing boardgames & cards with my cousin, mum, & aunt throughout my childhood so it was only natural that I would go on to make gaming a regular part of my own childrens life ..
Over the years we've built up quite an eclectic collection with a generous lean towards lighter games, co-ops, dexterity, and those with a high luck v's strategy element .. This is partly because my son has learning disabilities and I often provide gaming opportunities for the extra-curricular groups he's involved with at school and RDA (riding for disabled) etc, but also it's just the style we as a family most enjoy .. I also love a good solo! Our Current Favs:
- Forbidden Island
& The Adventurers: The Temple of Chac
- Ticket to Ride: Legendary Asia
, Galaxy Trucker
& Dominion: Intrigue

finally here!BGG and Me:
I first discovered BGG after watching one of Tom Vasels videos on Youtube .. At the time I was trying to find new games for my kids Solstice (our Xmas) presents, and I was blown away by how many there were that I'd never even heard of! Then after months of lurking I finally signed up, and have been an almost daily visitor ever since - in fact BGG is my homepage!
I'd have to say that BGG is my absolute favourite online community, and that people really go out of their way to answer questions, offer suggestions, and just generally make this a great place to hang out .. I wish I had more time to contribute to conversations, but I do what I can with the knowledge and experience I have - mostly recommending things for children of certain ages, or advice on the solo or family games people ask about ..
Secret Santa is always a highlight of the BGG year, and I'd like to take this opportunity to again thank those who I've been paired up with in the past - You Rock!
The other memorable occasion was the time I contributed to
My Little Pony World Domination / Ponygeddon Project
with a bastardized image of ZIMP
and the great Jeremiah Lee himself tipped me
Finally I'd like to say a thank-you to everyone who has given me
I don't always notice when or where it comes from, but always appreciate being able to buy new microbadges from my ever-expanding wishlist:
