How it started
An article in new french magazine "Jeux et Stratégie" number 1 in 1980, presenting Wargames, with its first inserted game ! "La Guerre des ducs
" as well as articles presenting wargames by François Marcela-Froideval, quite a discovery !
Directly followed by Casus Belli, first french magazine dedicated to conflict simulations and role playing games (created by the french association FFJSST and the same François Marcela-Froideval ...):
But then I burned all my teenager budget on a wargame recommanded by the shop "Jeux Descartes", "Waterloo
" from "International Team", this while I was first planning to buy the cheaper ziplock "Napoléon à Austerlitz
" from Jean-Pierre Defieux. Opening the boxe I got shocked by the game square+octagones (as well as badly written rules). Result, this was unfortunately the end of my wargame short active period.
I then spent most of 80´s and early 90's playing RPG. I landed in Sweden-Gothenburg end 1995, to start collecting wargames ten years later after discovering ebay !Nowadays
My ambition is to play some boardgames (but mostly wargames...) with my wife, and friends. I am also enjoying learning making custom counters/maps during few spare time :o)
Father of Emilie borned december 2010, I am hoping for tremendious gaming evenings and weekends in family, as soon as possible ...Avatar pic
