The typical path of gamer evolution...played a lot of games as a youngster...from Stratego, BattleShip, to American Heritage's Battle Cry, Monopoly and the like... in 6th grade I picked up Tactics II, (Tanks! Like Chess! and I was hooked...)
Richtofen's War and Panzer Leader followed, and then it was high school with Squad Leader, Wooden Ships & Iron Men, and Paydirt, ( and miniatures ).
College and beyond saw a wavering of gaming...then suddenly there I was suddenly interested again in wargames...
Now, about 100 games later, I have gathered a whole group of folks that are local that meet regularly each month to
'get their war on'.
I've gotten my wife into Formula De and we host a League that has other couples playing and making dinner for the 'other racer/ teams' in the League, (six of us altogether)...we really like it.
I also run a yearly Paydirt League, that has been consistent for the past three years. All of this is good fun!
If you live in the Bay Area and want to 'start a war' drop me a line...
