I grew up playing games of all sorts and have simply continued doing so into adulthood. My main person to game with is my wife:
I also play games solo and always have. The essence of a game to me is not the theme but how mentally engaging striving to win is-- both in the long term and the short term of the game. The less extra stuff in the game the better usually, but I like long deep games.
Please note that I am a Golden Reviewer and am open to review copies of virtually anything, but I personally don't care for party games or dexterity games. Religious games are also not my thing generally. If I get a game, I'll review it (although I'd not swear to it for religious reasons). GM if you're interested in me reviewing your game.
I also have a degree in philology (although it's not my field now) and can professionally translate most languages to English. If you want your rules translated, let me know. In any case, I'll want a free game out of it but if the rules are more than a few pages, I might want more. Again, GM me.
Finally, I'm a physicist, an Orthodox Jew and an Israeli. No wonder I'm an RSP regular, but remember that RSP means religion, science and politics.my GotW threadmy RSPer of the whatever threadmy blog on reading the Odyssey in the original Greekmy SF as literature blogmy language learning for reading blogmy Torah blog
