I've been playing wargames for more than 40 years now. Started with AH games. My first was Guadalcanal. Quickly followed by Africa Corps, Battle of the Bulge, Blitzkrieg and a slew of other Avalon Hill classics. Later got into SPI games.
I prefer strategic games. Grand Strategic is even better. Got hopelessly hooked on Third Reich when it was new. But kicked that habit when World in Flames came out. Still play WiF all the time. Have many expansions for it as well as three different editions. Final Edition is the one played now.
Love the other monster games too. Fire in the East/Scorched Earth get set up a lot. Many a cold winter has been spent in the war room trying to take Moscow before the snows.
Have both the SPI version of War Between the States (WBtS) and the DG 2nd Edition. WBtS has always gotten a lot of play time. Dozens of campaign games of this favorite completed so far.
Family man with 14 grandchildren and still counting. Avid motorcyclist, been riding almost as long as I've been wargaming. Love to go to the rallies all over the country.
Life long love of reading and history learned as a child from my grandfather. He spent hundreds of hours teaching my siblings and I about the Civil War. His family lived in Milledgeville Georgia during the war and Sherman burned their home to the ground during his march to the sea. Profoundly altered the course of our family history.
