This is a session report I generated using muvee software. This was a battle of three Terran factions (Our second play). Here are some highlights...

Early game:

The white player (my sister-in-law) got an early boost from a monetary discovery. While the blue player (that's me) found himslef surrounded by Ancients at almost every turn. The Red player explored and we soon had a defensive wall of Ancients separating everyone.

The blue player suffered two early losses to the Ancients, even with Cruisers that equaled the Ancients strength. They finally expanded on exploring before returning to the battle with the Ancients.

Mid-Game:

The Red player (my brother) made a big push in the mid game to upgrae their ships and soon had the best Cruisers in the game. They marched through some Ancients right up to the White players territory.

The White player quickly got their economy humming. They had advanced labs and economy and started building orbitals. Their next focus was research (from all three tracks). It wasn't until the war with Red was looming that they switched to upgrading and producing ships.

End-Game:

Towards the end, Red and White took turns building up their war machines. This led to an expected epic combat in the final round. Red had three Cruisers with Anti-matter cannons and Plasma Cannons (oh, and a +3 from their Computers). The White countered with 2 Juggernaughts equipped with hull upgrades (Can take 6 hits) Plasma Missiles and Plasma Cannons. They also had two well equipped Interceptors.

The battle was horrible one sided. All of the plasma missles missed and the Red destroyed a Juggernaught and both interceptors in ONE ROUND. One lucky roll of the dice and it was over for the Whites Fleet.

Red capped off their turn by taking the GCDS.

As for me (The Blue guy). I had been banking discovery VP all game (Passed on a lot). I made an exploration push the last turn to discover one more Ancient. Two Moves later I was set to take the out during combat. After destroying the Ancients I snatched 4 VPs (2 from system and 2 from discovery), and upgraded a Rep tile of 2 to a 4 VP tile.

The final scores....

Red(R) White(W) Blue(B)
(R-20) (W-11) (B-17) from systems
(R-3 ) (W-3 ) (B-5 ) from research bonus
(R-4 ) (W-6 ) (B-8 ) from discovery tiles
(R-11) (W-9 ) (B-13) from reputation tiles

(R-38) (W-29) (B-43) Totals
