Kinderspielexperten - Germany - gaming industry award since 2003

The Kinderspielexperten (transl. "Children´s Games Experts") prize is awarded every year to the best children's game. The prize is different from many other gaming industry awards by the fact that the winner is selected by children between the age of 5-13. A panel of adult game experts first selects 24 of the year's best games, which are then tested by over 2000 children all over Germany. The competition is arranged by the Bund der Deutschen Katholischen Jugend (BDKJ).

The prize is divided into two age categories: Category I (winner selected by 5 - 9 year olds) and Category II (winner selected by 8-13 year olds).
