Welp as I wind my way through the various parts of the Giants Graveyard (aka oceanic obstacles) I came across the shipwrecks. Whilst the manual effectively says to just paint all of the ship a bleached white, I found that rather counter-intuitive, since whilst a wooden shipwreck will have sun bleaching, it's never going to be pure white (unless it's perhaps a ghost ship), so I diverged from the suggested paint job a bit.

Shipwrecks:
Wood Base: XV-88 or Gorthor Brown
Sail Base: Ceramite White
Wood Wash: Agrax Earthshade
Sail Wash: Either Coelia Greenshade, Reikland Fleshshade, Casandora Yellow, or Nuln Oil

Light Drybrush: Longbeard Grey
Metal Hull Trim + Yard Ends: Auric Armor Gold
Metal Sail Rings: Runefang Steel
Metal Wash: Nuln Oil

Stone:

Drybrush: Terminatus Stone

Maneuver Tool -- Complete

Seeing as suddenly I picked up a lot of minis that are centered around bone, figured it would be a good time to try my hand at painting a large swath of bone in one go. For which the Dreadfleet Maneuver Tool perfectly fits the bill.

So first I painted a base coat of Zandri Dust (will probably use something else in future, came out a smidge darker than I had hoped for) which was washed with a Seraphim Sepia (Top). After which it was heavily dry brushed with Ushabati Bone (Middle) such that it picked out the contours and highlights. Finally it was lightly dry brushed with Screaming Skull (Bottom). Unfortunately the photo isn't great, but the effect comes out a bit when looking at it in person.

With the bone basis complete just needed to add the numeral details and we've got a completed maneuver tool!

Bone:
Base: Zandri Dust
Wash: Seraphim Sepia
Heavy Dry Brush: Ushabati Bone
Light Dry Brush: Screaming Skull

Numeral Details:
Inlay Detail: Abbadon Black
Numeral Detail: Auric Armor Gold

So I've been struggling with how I wanted to approach doing the water on these Dreadfleet minis' bases. I took inspiration from this blog: http://fullsd.blogspot.com/2015/05/painting-ocean.html I ultimately decided against their full method since it is long and complex and developed my own which is faster and kinder to your brushes based off of theirs. I start with a 1:1:1 mix of Altdorf Guard Blue : Thunderhawk Blue : Dark Reaper and paint the base fully with that. Then I heavily drybrush Longbeard Grey on to it. Then I wash it with Coelia Greenshade before doing another heavy dry brush of Longbeard Grey. At this point this is what my churned water will look like. But for general ocean the green needs to be toned a bit so I do a wash with Drakenhof Nightshade after which I do another drybrush of Longbeard Grey to pick out the wave tips. Once completed this looks like:

Water:
Base: 1:1:1 of Altdorf Guard Blue : Thunderhawk Blue : Dark Reaper
Dry: Longbeard Grey
Wash: Coelia Greenshade
Dry 2: Longbeard Grey
Wash 2: Drakenhof Nightshade
Dry 3: Longbeard Grey

Dwarven Dirigible -- Completed

So I stumbled across Dreadfleet in the used section of my favorite board game store for a steal of a price, and my itching to paint ships has gone unheeded for far too long such that I had to get it. I'll freely admit I'm a smidge antsy/eager about unstarted projects, ergo I immediately opened it up and dug through the models for something I thought would be quick, easy, and rather pretty. At which point the Dwarven Dirigible an auxiliary ship to the primary ship Grimmir's Thunder caught my eye. I was so incredibly wrong. The dirigible and inarguably all these ships have a frightening quantity of detail. Since this was also the first time I was working with the metallic gold paint from citadel, I wanted to see how the different washes would come out on it:

From top to bottom: Runefang Steel, Ceramite White, Auric Armour Gold
From left to right: Nuln Oil, Seraphim Sepia, Agrax Earthshade, Reikland Fleshade, Carroburg Crimson, Casandora Yellow, Drakenhof Nightshade

And since I couldn't resist one quick photo before I washed it with Nuln Oil:

And upon completion (wash + some dry brushing):

I covered how I painted the base here: Water Bases -- Completed
Which resulted in:

Canopy:
Base: Ceramite White
Wash: Nuln Oil
Dry: Longbeard Grey

Hull:
Base: Warpstone Glow
Wash: Nuln Oil

Rudder/Technical:
Base: Runefang Steel
Wash: Nuln Oil

Keel/Running Board/Smokestacks:
Base: Auric Armour Gold
Wash: Nuln Oil

Details:
Cannons: Leadbelcher
Canopy Support Beam: Eshin Gray

Support Peg:
Base: Kantor Blue + Dark Reaper + Thunderhawk Blue (1:1:1)
Wash: Drakenhof Nightshade
