I’ll try to squeeze in another game from the alea challenges, Witch's Brew.
In the past this has gone over well, though it is not something others clamor to play, so I bet I will be able to get it to the table if D-Day Dice does not once again dominate the day, which it easily could since I went out and bought everything from the Kickstarter campaign on eBay.
Witch's Brew is a quick game where the player’s select five of their possible role cards for each round, and then the cards are played. If more than one player selects a role then the other players can contest them for it or let them take the role and share in the spoils. It’s light, but fun.
I have the alea 10th anniversary Treasure Chest expansions and will likely pull one, or more, of them out to play this time.
Last time's selection
I was happy to play Macao with Mike and Nico. It was quite fun and easier to explain and play than I remembered. It also doesn’t hurt that we had three players instead of the four we played with the last time, with one of them having bad AP.
Nico liked and it and Mike enjoyed it more than he thought he would. I hope to play this again soon to drive into my memory how to play and teach the game.
Games played last two weeks
A lot of these were while I was in Colorado helping some friends after they both had recent surgeries. Playing games is a great way to spend recovery time.
