French started off well, with a Grand Maneuver to deploy from Left to Centre, and then a Bayonet Charge up to the hills. From there, the British LT proved very resilient, killing more than it lost, the Spanish bolted, as did the English Line.

Game then settled into a tussle in the Centre, and the French pushing on their Right. The English moved up the artillery on their right. French couldn't win the Centre, needed just a little more blue on the dice. They did clean up their Right nicely, and survived on the Left moderately unscathed.

At 6-6, both sides drew breathe, and French brought up reserves. The lone 1 English block and leader on Spanish hill withdrew nervously. A Short supply pushed back the English artillery, and the French push was on. A English LGM to reinforce the hill was a gamble that paid off, the French Sappers couldn't get a hit on the artillery, and the subsequent Bombard finished it.

Banner score was 9-8 to the English.
Command difference makes it 9-9, a tie
