Bobby's Games

I will be posting monthly recaps of my gaming which I used to do in GeekLists, but it has been a long, long time since that was he norm. I'll also be commenting on games on occasion, though I can tell you that I will be behind the curve because I just don't get to play the new games as soon as some people do.

La cheeserie!
Last week it was just Nico and I so I didn't play Fresco. Instead, we played several games that are better suited to two players. I will bring it along this week and see if I can get it played along with this week's game.

The construction is almost over, but the boxes aren't going to be unpacked because I still need to buy the bookshelves. Still, I probably would have picked Flash Point: Fire Rescue to take along and play. Normally I wouldn't be choosing a new game, but I suspect I'll have some fans of Pandemic at the store this weekend and they will love this cooperative game of rescuing people from a burning and collapsing building.

I believe it is harder to win than Pandemic, though it is still a lot of fun and you can see yourself winning the game, just before doom strikes and the building collapses. I've only played it with three players and we have won just once in nine games.

Now that I have a copy, we'll see if the luck is any better when "Hot Spot" Hilary isn't rolling to spread the fire.
