Eric Zimmerman (born 1969) is a game designer, author, and professor. He is the co-founder of Gamelab, a NYC-based videogame development company that he ran for 9 years, producing online games including Diner Dash, LEGO Junkbot, and BLiX. He helped create the NYU Game Center, where he is now a Professor and teaches classes in game design. Eric also co-authored Rules of Play with Katie Salen, the standard game design textbook. Recent work includes collaborations with architect Nathalie Pozzi to create a series of large-scale game installations for museums and galleries, including the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.
