Designer Michael Resch's series of operational level First World War games, focussing on the mobile phase of the war in 1914.
The first game in what has become the series was 1914: Twilight in the East, followed by 1914: Offensive a Outrance and 1914: Serbien Muss Sterbien in close succession to each other.
The latter two games represent an evolution of the system used in the first, so there are important rules differences between TitE and OaO / SmS. But the games feature the same underlying approach to simulating the period - which is detailed and which captures a sense of the operational challenges of the period, accompanied by beautiful and accurate maps and clearly written rules.
