Rightgames LLC has been developing and publishing board games in Russia since 2002, although it operated originally as Stolitsa Design Group until 2010.
In summer 2011 the company released 4 of its starter sets in English:
«Potion-Making: Practice» - «Zelyevarenye»
«Evolution: The Origin of species» - «Evolution»
«The Enigma of Leonardo» - «Загадка Леонардо»
«The Kingdoms of Crusaders» - «Ордонанс»
Since the company’s first release in 2002, “The War”, there have been several big set games on the Great Patriotic War: “Blitzkrieg”, “Barbarossa”, “Defense of Moscow”, “Stalingrad,” “War in Africa”, and “War with Japan”. The gaming system has regular tournaments held in various clubs throughout Russia and CIS. Tournament winners are awarded special prizes, and tournament results count towards player ratings on the game’s website.
A separate board game based on “The War” – “Victory day” - was specially released for 2 players. This stand-alone game brings the excitement of the full gaming system to even more tables.
In 2005, “Potion-Making: Practice” marked the company’s first family friendly boardgame and has remained one of the most popular in Russia. “Potion-Making” has several awards from themed portals as “best Russian game.” In 2010, “Potion-Making” made it to the top 10 board games rated by Forbes Russia magazine. The game has two expansions: “University Course” and “Guild of Alchemists”. A gift package containing all 3 parts released in 2010.
In 2007, three more games hit tables: “The Kingdoms of Crusaders”, “The Enigma of Leonardo” and “The Great Hoodoo”. “The Kingdoms of Crusaders” is considered the best game of 2007 by www.boardgamer.ru –a blog for board gamers.
“The Commander’s Way” also released at that time adding CCGs to the company’s lineup.
In 2011, the company released a game for parents and children: “The Jam.”
The 2010 name change to Rightgames LLC did not change the quality and the variety did not diminish.
All these games are created and developed by Sergey Machin—one of the leading game designers in Russia. He designed them himself or with the help of other designers like Danila Goryunov on “the Kingdoms of Crusaders”.
In 2010, the company started publishing games from invited authors. “Evolution,” the first game to be published by an invited author, is by Dmitry Knorre a graduate of Moscow State University, a candidate of biological science. The game became quickly popular and received five awards in its first year as Russian "Game of the Year." Now two expansions have been released: “Continents” and “Time to Fly”. Also, there is a stand-alone game in the series: “Evolution: Random Mutations.” “Random Mutations” is a completely self-sufficient game, not an expansion, but it inherits much from its forerunner. A new version of the game, currently titled “Survival of the Fittest”, will feature new artwork and will launch as a Kickstarter project in 2014 in conjunction with North Star Games LLC.
In 2011, “Gobba. Reelection in Big Gobba”, hit the game table and catalog from Rightgames LLC by young game designer Anton Lozovski.
2012's novelty game "My Understands You" sold out the first print run in a few months. It became one of the most popular novelties of 2012.
During the recent visit to Essen, 4 novelties with multilingual editions of 2013 were demonstrated: «Kitchen Garden», «Kings under Mountains», «Founders of the Empire» and «Evolution. Continents» expansion. Additionally, «Founders of the Empire» was displayed by author Petr Tyulenev.
