This math trade is for those attending The Gathering of Friends in 2013. Only those who will be in attendance should participate. (It is acceptable, but not generally recommended, to have a proxy who will be attending make your exchanges. Should you choose to do this, you must explicitly list who your proxy will be on _all_ of the items that you list.) Anyone who ends up not attending will be responsible for _all_ shipping charges (i.e., both directions).

=====

Dates:

Deadline to add games: 8:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, April 2nd
Want Lists Due: 8:00 PM Eastern Time on Friday, April 5th
Results Posted: Later in the evening on April 5th
Trade Happens: Friday, April 19th, at 1PM. However, please deliver your games to folks before then if possible - the fewer games left to deliver on Friday the faster it will go.

=====

Brief Rules and Information:

* We will be using Jeff Michaud's OLWLG (On-Line Want List Generator) for both generating and submitting want lists - see: Math Trade Online Want List Generator (OLWLG) - Discussion, Problem Report, etc thread if you aren't familiar with the tool.

* Only games are allowed as main items. Other items are allowed as sweeteners; however, cash and gift certificates are _NOT_ allowed as sweeteners.

* You must verify and accurately describe the condition, edition, and language of your items. There were some errors made in previous years; the person listing the item is responsible for correcting any issues resulting from an inaccurate listing.

* Further note: for games with more than one edition, you cannot describe the edition by just saying "as pictured" or something similar, since the pictures don't appear in the OLWLG. Using a picture of the appropriate edition rather than the representative image would be much appreciated, but you still need to say which edition it is in text. (Unless you're absolutely sure the game only had one edition, please check the game page.)

* We will be using Users Trading as the tiebreaker, with 100 iterations using a seed 1428571

* Duplicate protection is enabled; see Jeffy Jeff's OLWLG: Duplicate Protection For Dummies for how-to instructions.

* If you no longer wish to trade an item, it is preferable to simply add a comment saying that you will be submitting a blank want list, changing the item to "Outside the scope of BGG", and changing the description to:

A Finnish game about painting portraits of characters from the Kalevala. It has neat plastic cards with some transparent sections which overlay each other during play.

The rules are in Finnish, but an English summary is included which is sufficient to play with (it's not a very complicated game). There are just a few words of text on the cards which affect the game.

The game has been played but is still in very good condition. The box has very light scuffing. The cardboard insert has a little damage.

This is a set of three related games by Alex Randolph: Orbit, Harun, and Corona. The latter two were previously published separately (and can be played with a Moonstar set), but Orbit is only playable with this set.

Like other Edition Perlhuhn games from Franckh-Kosmos, this has great production values, with everything except the timer and board being made of wood.

A printout of an English translation is included, and the components are language-neutral. The box has minor shelfwear. The components are in excellent condition.

An old Peter Eggert design which is similar to Bolide in using vector movement for car racing.

The board has some scuff marks - it was like that when new (it's only been played once). Other than that the components are fine. The box bottom has one split corner (the top is fine).

This includes a copy of the English translation. The components are language-neutral.

This is an Alan Moon design from way back in 1988. It's an electronic baseball game for two players which can be played in a number of different modes.

It has a built-in set of star players from 1988, 20 from each league: Wade Boggs, Don Mattingly, Cal Ripken, Roger Clemens, Darryl Strawberry, Mike Schmidt, Nolan Ryan, etc. In addition, this comes with:

1. A Hall of Fame cartridge. The cartridges plug in to provide extra teams. This came with the game, according to the box. It includes a single 20-man team of older players: Honus Wagner, Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, etc. This cartridge doesn't include cards for the players, unlike the others (there are cards for the built-in players).

2. The Boston/New York (Yankees)/Baltimore cartridge: the expansion cartridges you purchased separately all had three teams. The cartridge and the cards are still sealed.

3. The California/Oakland/Seattle cartridge. Everything for this is also still sealed.

The base game material is not sealed but it's all there, and the cards and the plastic unit are still in very good condition (and the unit works). The stickers on the unit (which are just decoration) are peeling because the glue is about gone - the stickers themselves are in fine shape so you could glue them on if desired. (The unused stickers are still there on the sheet.) The rules have wear but are still usable. All three boxes (base game and cartridges) have some wear and old price stickers, but are intact. The base game insert is missing.

All of this is in English, as you might expect.

While originally marketed as a CCG, there's no reason this can't be played as a normal card game with a single deck for all players, and in fact it was later sold that way. It's (obviously) got a science fiction theme - players play planets, add environment cards to modify them, send out ships to colonize or conquer them, etc. There is plenty of interaction with other players.

This is a lot of 845 cards, which includes at least one every card in the set except for one (Stellar Transporter). Most have never been used, and the ones that were used were used very little.

Also included are several sets of rules (although updated rules can be found online), a small number of pre-release cards with square corners, and a signed proof sheet. The proof sheet has some dinged corners and some scuff marks on the back. (You do not have to take the proof sheet if you don't want it.) The cards and rules are all packaged in a card storage box, but I can include the original booster POP if you want.

All of this is in English.

Two older British-made abstract games.

1. Pin Point, for 2-4 players. In this game players are trying to make patterns using the great pieces, which look like giant pill capsules, each half black and half another color. Mike Siggins gave this a good review in Sumo back in the misty depths of time. The box has a fair amount of scuffing but is intact. The components are in excellent condition.

2. La Trel, for 2 players. Siggins gave this a good review, too. (If you get these games and don't like them, blame him.) I have the Millennium plastic pieces edition. The box has a moderate amount of scuffing around the edges, but is otherwise fine. The contents are in excellent shape.

The rules for both of these are in English.

Tori Shogi is a 18th-century Shogi variant played on a 7x7 board with pieces named after birds. It's difficult to get, at least outside Japan - there is a guy in the UK who makes sets, but they're rather expensive. The set I am selling is one of those.

The board is blue vinyl. The pieces are wooden. The picture in this entry is of this set. The board and pieces are in very good condition (and there is an extra Sparrow piece). The rules (in English) have minor wear. The tube has one end taped shut and the game name taped to it (probably not original). The board has a tendency to curl a bit the edges, but the picture was taken about five minutes after taking it out of the tube - if you reverse-roll it a bit it will lie pretty flat.

A Wolfgang Kramer design, which is actually pretty good, just a bit long for what it is for my tastes. This is the original Clementoni edition. It's complete and in decent shape. The cards are quite curled, which I suspect is typical and due to the weird stock Clementoni used. They are still usable. An English translation is included, and as I recall the German is pretty minimal and easy to follow.

In addition to Wildlife, this lot includes another Kramer (and Kiesling game): Evergreen

It's in German (there was never an English edition), but there is no text on the components and a translation is included. It's been opened and played once.

This is a Richard Borg design, and is generally considered the best of the X-Men games he designed back in the early 90s.

It's in English. It's complete and the components are generally in very good condition. The X-Men power cards have curled a bit with age, but are still perfectly usable. A previous owner painted some of the figures with limited success, but of course they too are still usable. A few of the labels on the box insert (telling you which figure goes where) are a little loose at the edges. The box has some shelfwear.
