Played a 5p game with Elaine and 3 others. Having been smashed during my previous effort I decided to play safe by going for points rolls and only going into Tokyo if I was unlucky with the dice. I knocked one of the other players to 0 health just before they hit 20 and the following round I got to 20 myself. Had a great time especially with a couple kids at the table. Cyber Bunny rules!

3p with myself, Ernest and Oliver. My first time playing and I thought it was good for a quick and easy game. We only played one round before BSG started and I pretty much handed Ernest victory by almost hitting 0 straight away.

6p game with myself, Ernest, Richard, Jason, Rudolf and Oliver. I'll leave the description to Ernest and Richard but I'll just say I hate the New Caprica board and anyone who's played it before as a human (or human sympathiser) will know why.

4 player game. Great fun as always. Very narrow finish and anybody's game right down to last turn.

Played one and a half games of this. The first was a learning game with Warren and Tegan, which was cut short as Warren had to leave. After dinner myself and Tegan started again with a two player setup. We played a few rules wrong which dragged out the end game, but I enjoyed it. Have played since and I really like the mix of pick-up-and-deliver and combat in this game.

Myself, Tegan and Jacob played this for a quick game. Turned out it dragged a little because the last few tiles didn't really fit into anyone's plans. Jacob won this one.

Myself, Tegan, Warren and Tim played this egyptian mythological themed area control/combat game. It's very conflict heavy, with victory points being awarded to aggressive players. Tim won by a large margin.

An opportunistic spur of the moment decision and recruitment of people standing nearby began an epic, full 6 player game (all houses represented). At this late stage I cannot not remember all players names. But with mostly new/newish players involved, a remarkably dynamic and swinging game was had. With every player being in the lead at least once and sneaky people at the bottom of the score track coming from nowhere threatening to steal the win, it was an "any bodies game" event.

After a gruelling 10 full rounds, two houses, Martell and Stark were tied for first. Martell was in possession of more strongholds and was therefore declared the new ruling house of Westeros.

Elaine, Jacob, player x (apologies forgot this chaps name) and myself undertook some tube network building to facilitate the commuting shenanigans of Londons lasiest commuter. He really doesn't like walking. Despite my trailing on the scoreboard all game, it was a relatively close scoring game by the time Elaine took the win.

Jason, Mark and myself decided to indulge in some spelunking adventures. We laid ropes down into the depths, exhaled deeply to squeeze through unervingly narrow gaps, dived in underground lakes and took pictures like the aspiring National Geographic journalists that we were.

I think Jason won in points by the end. But the main thing is we all planned our supplies and food drops well enough to return to base camp in time before perishing below. No reports of mysterious underground dwelers as seen in the movie Descent. Of course, that does not mean they were not there. zombie

Elaine, the two boys and I played the basic set-up, with Richard stepping in to give us a timely refresher. We never managed to get the fire in the kitchen area under control and by the time we managed a narrow victory, walls had started blowing out all over the place.

As usual, there were a few unique twists to The Heart of Africa map, and Blake did a good job of exploiting the extra points which are available through the terrain cards. Elaine won though, as she’d completed a massive amount of tickets.

Andrew cracked open his new copy of Rialto and I happened to be walking past at just the right time.

Tim and Aiden were also playing and we were under some time pressure, so a quick run-through of the rules ensued and then we were off! As usual (for a Stefan Feld game) buildings and turn-order were very important though I failed to get either of them working for me, with the buildings being a particular challenge as they have to be bought up-front and then activated at a cost. Andrew did a good job of acquiring and using the buildings, while Aiden owned the turn-order for much of the game. Some of the scoring also didn’t click for me until the end of the game (thanks, Tim!), but when it finally did it made good sense and was well integrated with the theme. Picking your moment and the island/s you want to control seemed to be key factors.

The game took about an hour or so, which blows my mind as my wife and I have only just got a 2P game of Castles of Burgundy down to that. Although it was short, I really enjoyed the game and look forward to having another go sometime.
