MittenCon VIII (2014) Math Trade
-
If you've never participated in a Math Trade before, there's nothing to fear, there's a lot of great guides, and thanks to some really handy tools from dedicated geeks, it's easy! Check out the BGG wiki on Math Trades: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/Math_Trades
As a brief introduction for those who haven't read the above yet (this post will still be here, so go on now, read it!), Math Trades occur in 3 steps:
1) You post games you are willing to trade (add them as items to THIS GEEKLIST HERE)
2) After a deadline (see below) has passed, you use on online tool to say which games you have offered you would be willing to trade for which games are offered by other users. You can't get stuck trading a game for something you don't want! You always have the right not to trade your game, by simply choosing no items that you would accept for it.
3) After a second deadline has passed, I use a little program to analyze the offers vs wants and try to match up as many trades as possible, then post the results. You bring the needed games to MittenCon on Saturday, and we all exchange things on the spot, so there's no need to ship anything!
Dates:
Deadline to add games: 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Thursday, February 6, 2014
Want Lists Due: 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, February 10, 2014
Results Posted: As soon as I possibly can on Tuesday, February 10, 2014
Use of the On-Line Want List Generator (OLWLG) is required for this event (please remember to tip JeffyJeff some GG for his support; if you have no GG, send me a GM and I will tip him for you).
Please do not delete items or sweeteners once you have listed them. You can always submit a blank want list for an entry if you've traded it away before the deadline.
This is a no-ship math trade so there is no need to include shipping information in your post.
The items allowed for this math trade are gift certificates (minimum of $10), geekgold (minimum of 200), boardgames, video games, and role playing games. We'll also allow DVDs and books. To add a non BGG/VGG/RPGG item, please enter Outside the Scope of BGG for the game title. Then in the body of the entry you write this:
+altname+
$XX Gift Certificate to Steve's favorite store
-altname-
You are expected to describe, as accurately as is reasonably possible, the condition (components and box), language and edition of your item in the description. This includes sweeteners. Any games not in shrink should be fully inventoried, and any missing components - including inserts - listed in the entry.
Do not include a link to any game unless you are including it with the entry as this looks, in the OLWLG, as if you are.
If you've been reported to me as a bad trader, you cannot participate. If you try to, I will remove your entries.
Please watch (either via the geeklist or the OLWLG) for questions, and answer them promptly.
Geekgold and gift certificate arbitrage is not allowed. Which is to say - you may not put geekgold on the want list for your geekgold entry, and you may not put a gift certificate on the want list for your gift certificate entry.

Note: only errors by the moderator will invalidate the results. In the case that there is a problem after the results are posted, at most it will only invalidate the affected trade chain(s) and not the entire results set. In addition if the problem can be resolved by the most directly affected party or parties, then that is perfectly acceptable.
All decisions regarding questions with this math trade are decided by the person running this math trade, namely InfoCynic. If you do not agree to me making such decisions, then don't participate in the math trade.
