After Essen, I always find it interesting to see where all those games that seemed promising end up in the ratings. So, I check all the "played at Essen" list for mini-reviews and reactions. I also like to see the games come in low in the ratings and then climb (or fall) towards their (more or less) final positions.
Secretly I'm hoping that those games I rejected without playing them do indeed get bad ratings... Just so that my intuition is proven right. (Of course, no hidden flaws should arise in those games I did buy )

This list is meant for those Essen 2006 releases that have garnered enough ratings to be included in the ranking, so we can see them climbing and falling in the next few weeks.

I haven't played this one. In a lot of reactions mention this game is seen as "Caylus light", and it is getting really positive reactions.

When this game was announced for Essen 2005, I was quite excited. This year, I read the rules, and I did doubt whether it was worth my while... Curious to see whether that doubt was grounded.
