''Orchard'' comes in three different sizes: normal, small, and floor game. I would think that the fruit at the different sizes would be a relevant factor in deciding if this game is suitable for small children.
Haba says 3-8. As for the lower limit, haba seem right. My 3-year old plays this very nicely. She follows the rules and is excited when she wins. The die only has 1 2 3, and repeat. There are 3 variants, where you add some hurdles, or where players can pick one of the two dies to play (one die is to move along the board, the other die is to collect stuff required to finish the game). I find this pretty good. We played it recently with a 6 year old and a 4 year old, as well as my 3 year old and everyone really liked it. We did 3 games.
