Greetings.

As wonderful as the BGG Wargame Chain of Generosity & Wargamers Paying It Forward threads are, transatlantic shipping can be prohibitive for many. The purpose of this thread is to give those living in Europe a slightly easier way to get involved in the generosity. Please continue to participate in the other threads, they are brilliant, lets make this one brilliant too.

Here's how the chain works:

Step 1: The chain is seeded with a game (or games). Entrants declare themselves 'in' on the comments. After a specified time (a week is good), a winner is rendomly drawn from those who declared themselves in.

Step 2: The winner will add a game or games to the list as the next item, preferably within 48 hours of being decalred the winner of the previous item. Once again entrants declare themselves 'in' and after a specified period a winner is drawn randomly.

Step 3: The new winner repeats step 2.

Thing to remember:

heart Declare in the comments of the item you want to win that you are 'in'!

heart If you win an item, you must post a game of your own to give away in the same fashion. If you are not willing to do so, please don't play!

heart Although you are not required to offer more than one game or a choice of games, if your listnig is not gaining much interest you may want to add further items to keep the chain going.

heart This is an international list. Please clearly state your shipping conditions in the listing, otherwise you agree to post internationally and cover the cost.

heart Europe means the continent, not just the EU. Keep this in mind when thinking about postage costs.

heart This is a wargame list so make sure you can offer an item that is a wargame, or of wargamer-interest.

heart The main thing is to be generous and enjoy giving away good games to good homes.
So with that in mind, lets get going...

Ok, here is my offering.

Stickered up but in excellent condition

Punched but in very good condition. Note this is the 2005 edition.

Literally just the shrink wrap removed to check contents.

Avalon Hill edition. This is very much a players copy. I bought it second hand and a few counters had obviously been pinned to the board. But it is a complete copy and a lot of fun to play (in fact there are some spare counters).

I will do a draw a week Wednesday.

Update: Randomly selected out of a hat and the winner is...

The man who started the whole thing...James (moujamou).

Congratulations!

Gosh! I won again! This is beginning to feel a bit nepotic.

Anyway, it means it is my pleasure to offer two games I would be happy to keep,
please choose one of :

Coral Sea: Campaign Commander Volume II

or

Fighting Formations: Grossdeutschland Motorized Infantry Division

Both are in fine condition and lightly played.

I will randomly pick a winner next Saturday evening (21st).

'Tis Saturday evening, and on d6 roll we get a 6 which means the last one in, Declan Breen, is the lucky chap. Commiserations go to Janis and Tonny, better luck next time! I hope you may enjoy the game Declan.

Extra item outside the regular chain

This is because I became father for the first time in my live of a healthy boy, who is keeping me awake as we speak/typ this little contribution. To celebrate this joyful moment in my live (lets face it, my live is over, I'm death)... I will auction a game. The winner of this item will not have to post a new game. Jancis will take care of that.

The reason why I post this here and not in a regular forum is that I want to give the people who keep this amazing geeklist alive a little extra.

Now if everybody would excuse me for a minute... I have a bady to kill before he drives me completely nuts with his crying.

Game is punched and clipped but in good condition. Winner will be drawn next Friday

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL7n5mEmXJo
I wish I could sleep all night

Very last call... last 12u to sign in for a free game. after that the winner will be drawn... that makes it saterday 17u local time

Ok, first let me start with thanking you al for the nice comments. Now for the winner, this will be decided with the roll of 2 6sided dice.

European Wargame Chain of Generosity

Sorry for the delay guys - I've actually been organising a weekend gaming con for this coming weekend (Swan Con at The Swan in Knutsford, Cheshire. Over 20 years there now).

Anyway, I can offer you all a choice of one of the following:

Colonial Diplomacy

In very good condition as opened, but unplayed.
Tokens still in sealed bag.

Submarine

A well played and well loved copy.
Whilst a player's copy, it does still have a number of turn sheets unused.
For it's age, it remains in good condition.

War at Sea (second edition)

All complete and in good condition.
Box has a split on one edge, but otherwise fine.

Enemy in Sight

Very good condition - little used.

Guerilla

In very good condition again.

All the games are from a smoke free home and in English language only.

If anyone shows interest, I will draw on Saturday 28 March.

Right guys. We have 2 entries for Guerilla. In the interest of randomness I will do one of my famous forecasts. My international football team, the mighty Scotland, are playing Gibralter this weekend in a Euro qualifier. I will decide the winner of the draw based on the total goals scored in the match (both teams combined). If the total score is even then Piero wins, if the total score is odd, then Janis wins. A 0-0 draw counts as even. However, Gibralter have lost their 4 games so far 7-0, 6-0, 4-0 and 3-0, so a 0-0 draw does not seem too likely.

Cheer on Scotland and hope for the right number of goals.

Update Sunday

Final score was 6-1 to Scotland, so an odd number and

Please choose one of the following:

Bastogne: Screaming Eagles under Siege

Like new

New York 1776

The box arrived with a torn in one of the corners.
I didn't send it back, because the game components were (and still are) in perfect conditions, and I got a discount.

Canadian Crucible: Brigade Fortress at Norrey

Like New. Unpunched.

Plus one one of the following, as well:

Congo Merc: The Congo, 1964

One damaged counter, though, the game is playable. (I wouldn't put it here otherwise.)

Border War: Angola Raiders

New!

-----------------
I hope you like this choices.

I will randomly pick a winner, Friday evening (28th).

-------------------------

Sorry, I know I'm a little late!

So, as promised, this is my offering, I hope you like it. Choose one among these three options:

- Advanced Squad Leader: Starter Kit #3: First, a punched, bagged, not clipped, but in excellent condition copy of ASLSK #3.

- Second,

A copy of the first edition rulebook by Avalon Hill, in perfect shape

- Third and last,

A punched, clipped, bagged, and in mint condition copy of the FIRST edition of this game, by Worthington Games.

I hope you like it.

Sorry for the delay folks, but I was waiting on the results of the latest U.K. Math Trade to see what I lost and what I gained (Not a lot as it happened).

Please choose one of the following:

Wellington
As pictured.
Very good condition.
Hardly played.

Kingmaker

The old TM Games version as pictured.
Good condition, although box a little compressed.

Enemy in Sight

The Avalon Hill original.
Very good condition.
Includes a couple of extra General articles for info.

Wizard's Quest

Not sure about this being a wargame, but it does have combat.
Avalon Hill original game.
Cards and counters unpunched.
Box a little compressed and small tape remnants on side and bottom.

I will close this on Thursday 22 October as I'm off to Berlin for a few days on the Friday.
