Greetings.

As wonderful as the BGG Wargame Chain of Generosity & Wargamers Paying It Forward threads are, transatlantic shipping can be prohibitive for many. The purpose of this thread is to give those living in Europe a slightly easier way to get involved in the generosity. Please continue to participate in the other threads, they are brilliant, lets make this one brilliant too.

Here's how the chain works:

Step 1: The chain is seeded with a game (or games). Entrants declare themselves 'in' on the comments. After a specified time (a week is good), a winner is rendomly drawn from those who declared themselves in.

Step 2: The winner will add a game or games to the list as the next item, preferably within 48 hours of being decalred the winner of the previous item. Once again entrants declare themselves 'in' and after a specified period a winner is drawn randomly.

Step 3: The new winner repeats step 2.

Thing to remember:

heart Declare in the comments of the item you want to win that you are 'in'!

heart If you win an item, you must post a game of your own to give away in the same fashion. If you are not willing to do so, please don't play!

heart Although you are not required to offer more than one game or a choice of games, if your listnig is not gaining much interest you may want to add further items to keep the chain going.

heart This is an international list. Please clearly state your shipping conditions in the listing, otherwise you agree to post internationally and cover the cost.

heart Europe means the continent, not just the EU. Keep this in mind when thinking about postage costs.

heart This is a wargame list so make sure you can offer an item that is a wargame, or of wargamer-interest.

heart The main thing is to be generous and enjoy giving away good games to good homes.
So with that in mind, lets get going...

Hoping everyone has had a good Christmas. I have now selected some games for your consideration.

Crisis: Sinai 1973

Game is punched and in good condition. It has the extra counters from the C3i magazine.

For the People

Game is punched and in good condition. It comes with For the People: Deluxe Map which is brand new in original packaging. Sorry the deluxe map is not available anymore.

Morsecode ···–

This game is unpunched and in great condition. The cardboard sleeve round the box has some scuffs and wear.

Air Assault On Crete/Invasion of Malta: 1942

An old classic which is unpunched and in great condition. I will never get round to playing it so hopefully someone might give it a good home.

War in the Aegean

Complete and in great condition. Still has the magazine with it.

The winner will be selected, next year, on Sunday 10 January 2016 by a random draw from those participating. That will give plenty of time for Hogmanay and New Year celebrations to finish.

Forgot to do this yesterday. Looks like we have 3 contenders. We will just take them in the order that they commented.

I have never done a public dice roll but will try it now.

We have a winner!

Continuing the chain, hopefully someone finds something to their liking in these offerings.

First up is Warriors of God: The Wars of England & France, 1135-1453

Alternatively Zero!

Or you can pick Struggle for the Galactic Empire
First Edition

Also available Stonewall in the Valley

Or it's close friend Stonewall's Last Battle: The Chancellorsville Campaign

And I think I still have one of these Silent Death: The Next Millennium Deluxe Edition
Deluxe edition with plastic mini's

I'm not at home right now so I can't check the exact condition, but I don't remember anything strange about these games so you can all assume them as good-very good condition. If that somehow isn't true I will update the post tonight when I will re-check all the games.

I'll leave it up for a week, so drawing a winner on Monday the 15th of Februari.

I remember 1 of the Stonewall games having 1 tear between the top and side flaps of the box (I don't like taping boxes) but I checked their inventory and they are 100% complete. The Warriors of God game is in excellent condition, Silent Death has the minis removed from sprue I think but otherwise very good condition, Zero is in good condition (think the cards are sleeved, will check), and Struggle of the Galactic Empires was bought new by me, but once got a little damp at the bottom of the box (not wet, just damp) which caused some slight wrinkles. Can post pictures of the actual games, just let me know

Ok, some oldies and/or classics to be picked up next, choose one:

Warring States is a hidden gem about ancient Chinese warfare I just haven't got on the table multiplayer, and looking at the rules it seems that's the way it would really shine. In original ziplock and in good condition.

While waiting for geekmod approval, I'll put pics of the map up here. My apologies for the crappy quality, I only have the phone while my GF has the real camera with her on a work trip.

EastFront

My absolute wargame favorite that's good to go now that I got a good deal for the whole EuroFront II bundle. Counters clipped by the previous owner, including printed v3.02 rules.

or

Squad Leader

I think it's the fourth edition. Good condition.

BONUS

In addition to any of the above you also receive a copy of

Bloody Keren

along with Wargamer #59 it came with.

I'll draw the winner on Fri 26th.

Here are some options to pick up, some are only wargame-ish, hope that is still ok. If not, I'll change those options.
[I will give more details of the games on sunday]

Choose one of the following:

1) Napoleon: The Waterloo Campaign, 1815

This is CG's 3rd edition as depicted.
I love block games, and this one was one of the firsts I played.
easy rules that still convey the feeling of the campaign very well.
Love the separate battle board, not enough strategical/operational games do that... and they should!

2) Wargamish-solitaire VPG Bundle:

Nemo's War

and
Nemo's War Expansion Kit

and
Soviet Dawn: The Russian Civil War, 1918-1921 (no expansion kit!)

These are all VPG editions, as depicted.
Nemo's War is wargamy, more than a boardgame, but it sure has conflict... and is a fantastic solitaire game!

3) Phantom Leader

(not the deluxe edition!)
Another option for the friends of solitaire games.
Nice game, fun to play, although somewhat frustrating from time to time.

4) Conquest of Paradise

Civilization/exploration game, with some conflict in it.
Fantastic 4-player game, very fast and on the light side but _good_.

I will update the infos (conditions and so) on Sunday and might add some other options then.
EDIT: I will choose a winner on Saturday, March 5th (depending on my workload, this might be sunday).
I will think of a nicely convoluted way to choose the winner

Back on-line, week was way busier than expected. I will draw a winner in the next hour.

UPDATE: So, I'll be rolling now a d6. i really wanted to find some esoteric method to pick the winner, but I am out of ideas. Next time

Closed! Winner found!

No takers? Then we take another go, this time with a game that I enjoy a lot: Scotland Rising - The battle of Bannockburn.
After William Wallace's death, the fight still goes on, Robert Bruce is leading the as King of the Scots against King Edward II in this counter'n'hex game about this significant battle in the First War of Scottish Independence, fought in 1314.

As a sweetener, I will make you the maps of Stirling Brigde (1297), and Falkirk (1298), and inclose this with you game box.
I am ordering the game for you and have it shipped to me, where I add in the bonus maps and send it to you - this way you also avoid nasty taxation by your customs office.

I will let this run for... just this week - your deadline is SundayMonday! That's the 27th28th for those of you, who speak numbers
I will find a winner in exactly in a week: Monday = the day after.

Can you lead the Scots to victory - or crush the rebellion?

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Yes - it is not for this game! Instead I will let you pick between one of the following:

Last Battle: Twilight – 2000
Quote:
World War III...Every nation on Earth has been drawn into a global contest. What is different this time is the sophisticated technology of the tanks, aircraft, personal weapons, and particularly the nuclear missiles.

The Hunt for Red October
Fog of war style naval battles; 8 scenarios including the scenario from the book, where the Soviet Navy is hunting The Red October.
Ships (surface and subs) are double sided counters standing up like "blocks", with cloaked information of Sub and Surface - air crafts are double sided with the clouded information about flight range (player side face down). Player side on both vessels and planes shows class, and info.

MBT (first edition)
Quote:
MBT is a detailed look at the organization, equipment and capabilities of some of today's most powerful and advanced military forces. Included are the latest American, West German and Soviet vehicles, their accompanying infantry and attached weapons, and the supporting artillery, air and helicopter elements that compose modern "combined arms" forces. It's all here, and YOU are in command!

Air Force + it's expansion Dauntless
Quote:
A tactical simulation of air combat over the Europe during WWII.

Each player controls one or more aircraft represented on the board with one counter per plane.

You are able to pick one game (or both Air Force games as "one game" of cause) - shipped to you! Absolutely free!
Now - the games are not new, but they are as new, but may have some box wear I have been told.
The games are of cause in English.

Deadline will be Sunday 20th, with drawing 21st at some point. 6thumbsup

We try again; this time with some Danish design; 13 Days - a game about the Cuban Missile Crisis.

I will also still let people be able to choose Attack!, if anyone rather want this.

Both games are new and still shrink wrapped.

The run goes until Friday 13th! So will this unlucky day be your lucky one? Monday 16th (I have to postpone the drawing because I forgot that this Friday the Medieval Marked in Copenhagen started, and I am working there on the field from tonight or Friday morning and till Monday evening; therefore, I will be nowhere near my laptop, power or Internet, so my chances of actually making the drawing would be noneexisting. And I would not be able to send until Tuesday no matter what, as it is apparently Pentecost so the posthouses are closed.

I am sorry for the double booking - but hope everyone is okay with it

Game is brand new. It came from the publisher without shrink wrap.

War at Sea (third edition)

Game is in excellent unpunched condition.

War in the Aegean

This is in the plastic counter tray box. It is in excellent unpunched condition.

Conquest of Paradise

Still in the shrink wrap. I have put this in as I realise I will probably never play it and it seems quite popular.

Four options:

1) Montenotte, first game of the Napoleonic Small Battles of the Italian publisher Camelot. Unpunched.

2) Chad: The Toyota Wars, 1979-1988. Unpunched.

3) San Fermo + From Varese to Tre Ponti, two connected games on the Italian Risorgimento of the Italian publisher Camelot. Unpunched.

4) Lee Invades the North. Unpunched.

Complying with rule:
Quote:
3. In the unlikely event that nobody enters to win your game by 48 hours after posting, try a different game in its place.
And even if I don't understand why the two Camelot's games don't arise your attention, I add:
5) Armor at Kursk. Punched copy of the boxed edition, with in addition prints of 5 of 6 articles published on the games and all the additional counters for the scenario and variation presented in those articles.

The winner will be selected by the Italian Lotto extractions on the wheel of Rome of Thursday 23 June.
Each wheel of the Italian Lotto extracts a series of five numbers from 1 to 90 three times per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday). Each person in will be assigned a batch of numbers base on the number of competitors. With 6 persons each would get a batch of 15 numbers, with 7 people in each would get a batch of 12 numbers, with six left out.
The winner will be the person with the first extracted for the Wheel of Rome. If the first extracted is in the left out we would go on the second extracted and so on.
I will allow each person to select a lucky number that will have to be declared in the moment he says to be in.
The extraction is held at 20:00 of the given day, some hours earlier I will assign the batches of numbers.
I selected this way to decide the winner since I find it nicer than the standard die roll. You will be allowed to declare to be in till the moment in which I assign the batches.

As per the ones in Chris Geggus/Ahiksking is assigned the batch going from 1 to 38, plus the one from 40 to 90. To these numbers you must add the 39 that he has selected as lucky number.

Sorry for the couple of hours of delay in declaring the winner. The extractions on Rome have been

36 - 86 - 29 - 23 - 47

It's used but in good condition except for some scruffing on the box. It comes with an extra set of counters! Don't know why.

Chandragupta

Like new, shrink off but unpunched

Great War at Sea: Pacific Crossroads

I will need to find this one so there might be a slight delay in postage... I think it's unpunched, somewhere in the back of a cupboard in my parents' house

Warsaw Rising: Revolt of the Polish Underground, 1944

S&T game, unpunched

Algeria: The War of Independence 1954-1962

Unpunched

Hope there's something here for someone. I'll draw this on Sunday night (Wales time)...
